1. Who we are

The controller for personal data processed via FactoryLogiq is:

FactoryLogiq — Andrew Junkuhn
Berlin, Germany / Xiamen, China
Email: andrew.junkuhn@gmail.com

See also our Impressum.

2. What this policy covers

This policy describes how we process personal data when you:

  • Visit factorylogiq.com (marketing site)
  • Create or use a free FactoryLogiq workspace (Sample-to-FOB control product)
  • Contact us or purchase consulting / operator services

3. Data we process

3.1 Account & authentication

Sign-in and sign-up are provided by Clerk. Depending on how you register, this may include name, email address, authentication identifiers, session data, and security metadata. Clerk acts as a processor / sub-processor under our instructions and its own privacy terms.

3.2 Project & product data you enter

Content you store in FactoryLogiq (for example styles, gate statuses, notes, file names, cost inputs, origin/destination selections, and liability log text) is processed to provide the service. We design the product so you control operational decisions and approvals; we do not sell your BOM or project data.

3.3 AI-assisted features

Optional features (such as floor brief wording or landed-cost estimates) may send non-secret operational summaries (e.g. gate labels, open/locked counts, origin/destination, FOB targets) to OpenRouter or similar model providers to generate text or estimates. We aim not to send passwords, payment card data, or full confidential tech packs to models. Responses may be cached for a limited time (for example several hours) so we do not call models on every page view.

3.4 Technical & usage data

We and our hosts may process IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, error logs, and approximate location derived from IP for security, debugging, and service reliability. Hosting may include Netlify, Cloudflare, Vercel, or similar providers depending on deployment.

3.5 Cookies & local storage

We use essential cookies/storage for authentication sessions, preference (e.g. theme), workspace selection, and short-lived AI brief cache. Analytics tools (if enabled) may set additional cookies; you can control non-essential cookies via your browser and any consent UI we display.

3.6 Communications

If you email us or book consulting, we process the content of that communication and your contact details to respond and deliver services.

4. Purposes & legal bases (GDPR)

  • Contract / pre-contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): provide the workspace, account, and paid consulting you request.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): secure the service, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and limited product analytics that do not override your rights.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): where required for non-essential cookies or optional marketing.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): where we must retain or disclose data under law.

5. Sharing & processors

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with providers needed to run FactoryLogiq, for example:

  • Clerk — authentication
  • OpenRouter (or similar) — optional AI text/cost estimates
  • Hosting / database providers (e.g. Netlify, Cloudflare, Turso/libsql when enabled)
  • Email and payment providers when you buy consulting (e.g. Stripe checkout if used)

Where data is processed outside the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses) as offered by those providers.

6. Retention

Account and project data are kept while your workspace is active and for a reasonable period afterward (or until you request deletion), unless longer retention is required for legal claims or bookkeeping. AI brief caches are short-lived. Server logs are typically retained for a limited operational period.

7. Your rights

If GDPR/UK GDPR applies, you may have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Germany, typically your state data protection authority or the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection).

To exercise rights, email andrew.junkuhn@gmail.com.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures appropriate to a small SaaS (HTTPS, access controls, processor security). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password and protect your account.

9. Children

FactoryLogiq is directed at business users. We do not knowingly offer the service to children under 16.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as the product or law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Material changes may be highlighted in the product or by email where appropriate.
